Financial Policy

At Albany Periodontics, we strive to provide the highest quality dental care at a reasonable fee. Our practice is fee-for-service, and it is our policy that payment is due at the time of treatment. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express).

We offer 6 and 12-month payment plans through CareCredit, a dental credit card that can be applied for on your own or through our office. Arrangements must be made with our financial coordinator before the treatment begins. For more information, please contact our office and/or visit

We do not accept dental insurance in lieu of payment. However, upon completion of treatment, we will send the claim electronically to your insurance carrier so that you may receive any direct reimbursements.

Missed Appointment and Cancellation Policy

We understand that time is valuable and  access to dental care in a timely manner is important. Scheduling with us is an agreement between our office and the patient, and we must respect each other’s time and needs. To maintain our highest quality of service, we ask that our patients give us a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for the cancellation of a surgery, and a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for the cancellation of a cleaning appointment. Proper notice helps our staff offer empty time slots to other patients in need of care, as there is a high demand to be seen in our office. We strive to see patients within a timely manner.


•Failure to give us proper notice within these time frames will result in a failed appointment fee.

•If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, we will consider it a failed appointment and you will be asked to reschedule to another time.

•Failing an appointment (No call-no show) for the first time will result in a $50.00 fee for cleanings, and $100.00 for failing a surgery appointment.
•A second failed appointment will result in a $75.00 fee for cleanings, and $150.00 for failing a surgery appointment. We will be unable to reschedule you until this fee is settled.
•A third missed appointment will result in a dismissal from our practice.


We work hard to ensure our patients are given the time they are entitled to for treatment, as well as make scheduling with our office as stress-free as possible. Mutual correspondence with our office on the status of your appointment is important, and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
